The little Black Jacket

Ayer como el día no se presentaba soleado aproveché la tarde para ir a visitar la exposición de The Little Black Jacket.

Como muchas de las prendas de Chanel esta chaqueta tiene una historia, en 1954 Coco Chanel  presenta una chaqueta de hombre convertida en el símbolo característico de la mujer contemporánea compuesta por cuatro bolsillos, botones con el símbolo de la Maison (en aquella época no existían botones sin ojales), cosida al forro con seda, con una fina cadenita que garantiza la caída perfecta, tela “tweed” traída desde Escocia, recta y fluida y sin entretela.

Años más tarde en 1983, Karl Lagerfeld, la transformará consiguiendo una prenda que se adaptará a todos los tiempos. El diseñador junto con Carine Roitfeld editaron un libro con la historia de este Must Have incluyendo fotografías de  actores, actrices, músicos, diseñadores, escritores.

As yesterday had not sunny, I took the afternoon to go to visit the exhibition of The Little Black Jacket.As many of the pieces of Chanel this jacket has a history, in 1954 Coco Chanel presents a man's jacket converted into the characteristic symbol of the contemporary woman, composed of four pockets, buttons with the symbol of the Maison (at that time there were buttons without grommets), sewn to the silk lining, with a thin chain that ensures perfect drape, fabric "tweed" brought from Scotland, straight and smooth and seamless interfacing.
Years later in 1983, Karl Lagerfeld, transform the jacket getting a garment that will adapt to all time. The designer along with Carine Roitfeld edited a book with this Must Have history including pictures of actors, actresses, musicians, designers, writers.

Karl Lagerfeld ahora presenta una exhibición fotográfica basada en dicho libro.

Esta exposición, se ha presentado en varios países como Tokio, Nueva York, Tai Pei, Honk Kong, París, Berlín, Moscú, Seúl, Milán por fin en Dubai.

Así que podréis visitar esta maravillosa exposición fotográfica del 27 de abril al 11 de mayo en The Venue, Downtown Dubai.

Now Karl Lagerfeld presents a photographic exhibition based on this book.
This exhibition has been presented in several countries such as Tokyo, New York, Tai Pei, Hong Kong, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Seoul, Milan and finally in Dubai.
So you can visit this wonderful photo exhibition from April 27 to May 11 at The Venue, Downtown Dubai.

Hace unas semanas en casa de un amigo tuve la suerte de conocer a Omar, un emirati propietario de una de las Boutiques más originales de Dubai, en ella se mezclan arte, diseño y moda, creando un espacio muy peculiar que no dejará indeferente a ninguno de sus visitantes.

A few weeks ago at a friend's house I was lucky to meet Omar, a Emirati owner of one of the most original Boutiques in Dubai in this store are mixed art, design and fashion, creating a very unique space that will not leave indifferent to none of their visitors

Este fin de semana y el que viene se celebra el festival musical Coachella, que tiene lugar en Indio, California.

En los ultimos años se han podido ver a muchas celebrities luciendo un estilo hippie chic muy adecuado para la ocasión.

This past weekend and next one is celebrated Coachella music festival, which takes place in Indio, California.
